Different Summer at Camp!!
Though we lost all camps, retreats, and rental groups from mid- March to November, we praise God for different opportunities in the midst of the covid restrictions. We ran 5 weeks of 3-day Day Camps for lower numbers of kids and youth, socially distanced, everything outside. It was AMAZING to have camp, even if it was different! Kids had a blast, and they heard the Gospel. We are grateful to parents who drove them out every morning, and picked them up at 5 every day.

We also hosted small family/friend groups for Swim/Mini golf experiences, and it was great to use our facilities in that way.
Falkland Youth continued in a down-sized version, outdoors once a week. Conan and his team did amazing at building distanced relationships, and sharing the Gospel. We praise God for meeting needs of staff, finances, and health during these challenging times.

Looking ahead ...

We are taking a leave from the Mission for the month of September, since nothing is happening here, and Janice’s parents need help moving into assisted living. Janice, along with her siblings will help with the adjustments, and Kevin will help his brother with Saskatchewan harvest.
We have received permission from Interior Health to proceed with a few modified retreats in October/November, carefully following guidelines. We will run One-Day Mini Ladies Retreats with the theme EXTRAVAGANT LOVE. Lauren Iseli from Kelowna is our speaker. Marriage Enrichment Retreat is still scheduled for November 6-8. We will add more Christmas in the Valley Banquets to our schedule as we are limited to 50 people.

Family Update ...
Jerad & Kalee continue to serve at Grace Bible Church in Vernon. The kids are excited to go back to school soon. Tora is in grade 4, Arayah in grade 2, and Henry starts Kindergarten, leaving only Russell(3) at home.

Jesse & Brianne have had an interesting summer camping, as they put their home up for AirB&B to recoup expenses from their Philippines trip cut short due to covid. All their kids are in school this year: Jakob grade 4, Aybree grade 3, William grade 1, and Ben in Kindergarten.

Preston & Jessica continue to serve the Lord at Millar College of the Bible in Saskatchewan. We look forward to the arrival of their second child in September!! That will be grandchild #14. James (3) is very excited to be a big brother!

Conan & Julana did an amazing job leading camp this summer! Scarlett (3), Claire (2), and August (5 months) are totally camp kids, loved and cared for by everyone. It is the most wonderful treat to serve alongside our kids.

Dallas & Danae are doing a great job serving at Grace Baptist Church in Kelowna, as youth/worship pastor. We were thrilled to welcome their precious little Finley Rose on July 3. She a beautiful and very contended baby.

We have had a wonderful year with Maddy as part of our family. We are very proud of her hard work to graduate early. In preparation to attend Millar College of the Bible Fall 2021, she is working in Vernon, rooming with 3 lovely Christian girls this Fall.
Thank you for praying for us and our family!! We are blessed!
