Faith Mission Reopening Plan
Safety & Procedures (Summer Day Camps)

No overnight camps or retreats will be allowed this summer.

Only Day Camp activities for limited numbers of children will be run using all the necessary distancing and safety standards laid out by the Province, BC Health, and Work Safe BC. 

Health Monitoring:
- Temperatures taken and symptom screening for all staff and participants
- Have you been out of the country in the past 2 weeks? 
- Have you experienced the symptoms of cold, flu, or COVID-19 including coughing, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, fever, or fatigue? If so, DO NOT ENTER PROPERTY. 

Anyone failing to meet health safety guidelines will not be accepted to the Day Camp program. If anyone falls ill during the program, they will be masked, isolated with the First Aid provider, and the parent will be called to pick up child immediately. All children who may have had contact will also be monitored. 

Health safety instructions to our staff and participants will include:
- If you are not feeling well, stay home. Tell someone. 
- Cough or sneeze into a tissue, or the inside of your elbow
- Avoid touching your face
- Wash hands frequently 

Maintain safe numbers: less than 50 people at all times
- Parents/family members/pets are not to get out of their vehicles when dropping off or picking up children to/from Day Camps
- Total number of staff, volunteers, and children must stay below 50

Outdoor activities only
- Games, small group activities, lunch, and chapel will all be outdoors 
- Only exterior entry washrooms will be used, and sanitized by staff between use

Practice Good Hygiene
- Frequent, proper hand washing will be enforced 
- Sanitize hands and surfaces touched frequently 
- Numerous hand washing stations and hand sanitizing stations will be set up and monitored 
- Facilities, surfaces, sporting equipment, and door knobs will be sanitized regularly by cleaning staff

Social distancing and masks
- All staff and participants will strive to be at least 6 ft apart at all times
- Outdoor chapel seating will be marked 6 ft apart
- Lunch will be served to staff and children seated on marked seating on the lawn, 6 ft apart. Disposable plates/utensils will be used. Children will be required to bring their own water bottle which can be filled at outdoor water bottle fountain
- Skill activities will run with small groups of kids with 2 leaders enforcing a physical distance of 6 ft 
- If a game includes brief close contact, all staff and children will wear non-medical masks, which will be laundered before the next use
